Gold dealer Agrawal arrested with gold worth Rs 30 million

Kathmandu. Surkhet: Police have arrested Shyam Sundar Agrawal, a businessman with gold worth Rs 30 million, from Birendranagar. The District Police Office, Surkhet arrested him from Shiva shop at Birendranagar Municipality-6.

Police also confiscated gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 30 million from his shop, said Kabindra Singh, information officer of the District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office.

Bohara said police confiscated Rs 219,500 in Nepali currency and Rs 811,900 in different denominations from Agrawal. 

The police also confiscated 185 pieces of gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 30 million, including a cash counting machine, a box containing gold and silver ornaments, (packet) and boxes.

Investigation is underway on Agrawal, who is currently arrested , police said.
