Kathmandu. As per the directives of Minister for Health and Food Hygiene Nisha Mehta and the active initiative of the Ministry, it has been decided to recover a total of Rs 1,78,84,000 from 11 health institutions that have not paid the fees as per the number of beds.
The Ministry has taken the decision in the implementation process with the objective of ensuring good governance, transparency and legal accountability in the health sector. According to the Ministry, the process of recovering the arrears has been forwarded addressing the issues pointed out by the Auditor General’s report.
Minister Mehta said that the Ministry was committed to making the health service sector more systematic, responsible and law-compliant.
