Kathmandu. Kathmandu University (KU) has invited applications for the vacant post of Vice-Chancellor. The selection and recommendation committee formed to recommend the names for the post of vice-chancellor has issued a public notice calling on the eligible candidates to apply.
According to the notice issued by the committee, the application can be submitted to the link on the website of the Ministry of Education and Sports www. moest. gov. np within 10 days from the date of first publication.The process for appointment of vice-chancellor has been initiated as per KU’s Procedure on Vice-Chancellor Selection and Recommendation, 2083 BS.
Earlier, the meeting of the Kathmandu University (KU) (Senate) had formed a recommendation committee under the coordination of Minister for Education and Sports and Pro-Chancellor of the University, Sasmit Pokharel, to appoint a new vice-chancellor.
The committee includes National Planning Commission member Reshu Aryal Dhungana and former vice-chancellor of KU Prof. Dr. Suresh Raj Sharma is a member.
The committee will select the eligible candidates on the basis of the applications received and recommend the name for the post of vice-chancellor. Kathmandu University (KU), which has been making significant contribution in the field of educational quality, research and innovation, is expected to pick up further educational and institutional development with the appointment of a new vice-chancellor.
