Kathmandu. IME Life Insurance Company Limited, as a part of its corporate social responsibility, collaborated with Matrika Eye Centre to provide financial support to 100 cataract patients in Janakpur for free cataract surgery. The company has provided Rs. 100 for the program. Rs 6 lakh has been provided.
It is expected to directly benefit 100 people suffering from cataract in rural areas of Dhanusha and Mahottari districts.
Matrika Eye Center has been providing eye services, cataract detection and surgery programs in various districts of the country since the past. IME Life Insurance’s social commitment combined with the experience and expertise of the center is expected to create a positive impact in the community.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Khilendra Poudel, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of IME Life Insurance said, “The company has been continuously contributing to health, education and community development as a part of its corporate social responsibility.
Mr. Suraj Shrestha, President of Matrix Eye Center expressed his gratitude for the support provided by IME Life Insurance and said that this program will bring positive change in the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged families of rural areas.
