Kathmandu. (Expire) Driver’s License (License) will not be printed for the time being. has only one year left to expire and 3.5 million licenses will not be printed for the time being. 

According to the department, Such licenses will be printed only after the renewal of . According to the department, the license will be printed on the basis of application if it is needed immediately. 

Currently the license is 5 years. According to the department, it has been decided to print the licenses after the renewal of the license as it will be delayed in receiving the licenses that are only 1 year remaining from the expiry date. 

According to the department, even if has been printed now, if has to be renewed again within a year, it will impose financial burden on the state and it will not seem appropriate in practice. The license will now be valid for 10 years. 

Out of the 29 lakh licenses that are yet to be printed, 18,02,248 licenses have been printed, according to the department. According to the department, 88,495 licenses are in the process of being printed and 10,09,257 licenses are yet to be printed.
