Local tomato being sold at Rs 10 per kg in Kalimati

KATHMANDU: The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetables Market Development Committee has fixed the maximum wholesale price of agricultural products for today.

According to the committee, tomato big (Nepali) at Rs 40 per kg, tomato small (local) at Rs 10 per kg, tomato small (tunnel) at Rs 20 per kg, potato red (longho) at Rs 40 per kg, potato red (round) at Rs 35 per kg, potato red (Indian) at Rs 30 per kg, white potato at Rs 30 per kg and onion dried (Indian) at Rs 55 per kg.

Similarly, the price of carrot (local) has been increased at Rs 100 per kg, cabbage (local) at Rs 60 per kg, cauliflower local at Rs 90 per kg, red radish at Rs 30 per kg, white radish (hybrid) at Rs 20 per kg, brinjal lamcho at Rs 20 per kg and brinjal dal at Rs 30 per kg.

According to the committee, beans (stems) Rs 35 per kg, maize beans Rs 50 per kg, peas Rs 130 per kg, ghee beans (local) Rs 60 per kg, ghee beans (hybrid) Rs 60 per kg, ghee beans (rajma) Rs 80 per kg, tata beans Rs 50 per kg, soybean beans Rs 100 per kg, bitter gourd Rs 30 per kg, gourd Rs 40 per kg.

Similarly, the price of parwar (local) is Rs 40 per kg, parwar (Terai) at Rs 40 per kg, chichindo at Rs 30 per kg, Ghiraula at Rs 40 per kg, Jhiguni at Rs 50 per kg, Farsi cooked at Rs 60 per kg, Farsi green (lamcho) at Rs 50 per kg, green Farsi (dallo) at Rs 30 per kg, okra at Rs 30 per kg, Sakharkhanda at Rs 120 per kg, pindalu at Rs 100 per kg and iskus at Rs 60 per kg.

The price of mustard has been fixed at Rs 40 per kg, spinach at Rs 60 per kg, Chamsur greens at Rs 60 per kg, mustard greens at Rs 50 per kg, green onion at Rs 150 per kg, mushroom at Rs 300 per kg, mushroom at Rs 500 per kg, king mushroom at Rs 300 per kg and Sitake mushroom at Rs 1,000 per kg.

Kurilo Rs 300 per kg, Niguro Rs 100 per kg, Broccoli Rs 70 per kg, Beetroot Rs 90 per kg, Sajeevan Rs 250 per kg, Red Cabbage Rs 40 per kg, Jiri greens Rs 90 per kg, Celery Rs 160 per kg, Parsley Rs 350 per kg, Fennel greens Rs 60 per kg, Mint Rs 200 per kg, Guantradish Rs 60 per kg, Tamarind Rs 180 per kg. The price of copper has been fixed at Rs 160 per kg, tofu at Rs 160 per kg and gundruk at Rs 350 per kg.

Apple (Fuji) Rs 300 per kg, banana (Nepali) Rs 250, banana (Malbhog) Rs 200, lemon Rs 200 per kg, pomegranate Rs 450 per kg, mango (Maldaha) Rs 90 per kg, mango (Dussehra) Rs 100 per kg, watermelon (green) Rs 60 per kg, junar Rs 230 per kg, pineapple Rs 200 per kg, cucumber (local) Rs 70 per kg, cucumber (hybrid) Rs 30 per kg,

Cucumber (local) costs Rs 60 per kg, jackfruit Rs 50 per kg, pear (Chinese) Rs 250 per kg, papaya (Nepali) Rs 90 per kg, papaya (Indian) Rs 120 per kg, litchi (local) Rs 200, litchi (Indian) Rs 300 per kg, coconut (raw) Rs 80 per kg, ginger Rs 150 per kg, dried chilli Rs 500 per kg, green chilli (lamcho) Rs 40 per kg. Onions have been fixed at Rs 30 per kg of green chillies, Rs 50 per kg of fish chillies, Rs 300 per kg of Akbar, Rs 100 per kg of sheep chillies, Rs 200 per kg of green garlic, Rs 120 per kg of green coriander, dried garlic (Chinese) at Rs 220 per kg, dried garlic (Nepali) at Rs 180 per kg, dried fish at Rs 1,000 per kg, fresh fish (rahu) at Rs 340 per kg, fresh fish (leftover) at Rs 300 per kg and fresh fish (stick) at Rs 250 per kg.
