Kathmandu. Nepal Telecom (NT) has requested people to be aware of misleading SMS sent in the name of bank and digital payment service. Nepal Telecom has urged people to be aware of the activities of sending misleading SMS in the name of Connect IPS and various banks and digital payment services.
SMS sent by misusing the SMS service of Nepal Telecom, a message is sent saying that the account has been suspended, temporarily closed and other problems have been seen.
In this way, the customer is intimidated and prompted to enter the suspicious link or website sent through the same SMS. When those links are clicked on or accessed a website, the hacker accesses on the user’s phone and steals money from bank and wallets.
Therefore, Nepal Telecom has requested the customers to be aware of such SMS, phones and suspicious links. Telecom has also requested to verify the information through the official website or mobile app of the concerned organization before using any link and to keep your confidential details safe.
Similarly, do not click on the unfamiliar or suspicious link, , OTP, password, p-in, {{} civv and banking and digital payments. The company has also suggested to use only the official channel of the concerned organization for related information. If you receive any suspicious SMS, phone call or link , it is requested to inform the concerned organization immediately.
