Kathmandu. Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration, Pratibha Rawal, has clarified that the state treasury has not been spent to return the money of the cooperatives’ savers.
In the last three months, Rs 5,904,600 has been returned to 1,452 small savers of eight troubled cooperatives, Rao said, adding that not a single penny of the state exchequer has been spent to return the money.
Minister Rawal said that the money returned to the savers was managed by freezing the assets of the directors and officials of the concerned cooperatives and the bank accounts of bank .
Minister Rawal said that Rs 3,54,49,000 loan has been recovered during the period and effective monitoring of cooperatives will be carried out in the coming days. She also informed that the ‘Federal ‘Federal Civil Service Bill has been sent to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs for its opinion and will be finalizedafter it is tabled in the Parliament.
