Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, 2,300 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This amounts to Rs 2 million 84 thousand in revenue deposited in the state exchequer.
According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 104 people were taken for drunken driving, 177 for ride-sharing violation, 147 for breaching signal lights and 105 for speeding.
Similarly, action taken against 56 for flouting lane discipline, 152 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 113 for parking vehicles on the pavement, 141 for one-way driving and 1,305 for not following other traffic rules.
