Rs 5.11 lakh revenue collected from traffic action in 24 hours

Kathmandu. In the last 24 hours, 1,922 drivers have been found violating traffic rules. This has contributed Rs 511,501 in revenue to the state exchequer.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, 92 were taken for drinking, 78 for ride-sharing against the traffic rules, 129 for breaching lights and 139 for speeding.

Similarly, 41 people were taken for flouting lane discipline, 67 for blowing horn in prohibited areas, 10 for operating vehicles with black glass, 70 for one-way traffic and 1,296 for violating other traffic rules.
