Sudan Gurung remanded in custody for 15 days

Kathmandu. The government has extended the deadline for 5 days to investigate the case against former Home Minister Sudan Gurung. has been extended by 5 days from Tuesday. 

According to Achyutam Prasad Bhandari, chairman of the probe committee, the committee has already recorded statements from Gurung. 

He resigned from his post after being accused of being a partner with controversial businessman Deepak Bhatt . The government had formed a probe committee under the leadership of former High Court judge Achyut Prasad Bhandari to investigate into the case. 

Auditor General Shobhakanta Poudel and Joint Attorney General Achyut Mani Neupane are members of the committee.The committee was initially given 15 days to investigate. The deadline expired on Monday. 

The committee has extended the deadline for 5 more days to investigate. The five-day deadline will be from (Tuesday) to .
