Kathmandu. Nepal Freight Forwarders Association (NEFA) is organizing the 32nd Cargo Day on July 29, 2026 at The Soaltee Kathmandu, Kathmandu.

Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Indra Bahadur Baniya, will be the chief guest of the program to be held under the theme ‘Efficient Logistics – Strong Economy’.

Speaking at a press conference organized on Monday, Nefa’s Senior Vice President and Coordinator of the 32nd Cargo Day, Naresh Kumar Agrawal, said that the Cargo Day has been established as an important platform for dialogue, collaboration and policy improvement among stakeholders of logistics and freight forwarding sector in Nepal.

He said that discussions would be held on trade facilitation, use of modern technology, infrastructure development and logistics among the government, private sector, international organisations, importers/exporters, manufacturing industries, banks and insurance sector, airlines, shipping line and other stakeholders.

NEFA has been celebrating July 29 as the Cargo Day every year. Qatar Airways Cargo and Thai Airways Cargo Platinum are the sponsors of this year’s event, along with support from various airlines, ports, shipping lines and commercial organizations.

On the occasion, NEFA Annual Award 2026 will be presented to organizations and individuals who have made significant contribution to the development, expansion and trade facilitation of freight forwarding and logistics sector. Under this, NEFA members, government and non-government organizations, excellent airlines and offline airlines will be honored and employees working in the sector for a long time will be felicitated.

The program will include inaugural sessions, distinguished addresses, annual prize distribution, presentation of video documentary on logistics and business facilitation, networking and fellowship programs between government and private sector and experience sharing sessions with national and international participants.

NEFA has taken the Cargo Day not only as an annual celebration but also as an effective forum to promote collaboration and dialogue among policy makers and private sector for the development of Nepal’s trade, logistics and supply chains.

The programme will contribute to trade facilitation by connecting Nepal’s logistics sector to global connectivity through international participation and further strengthening the national economy, said NEFA.
