Consumption of chicken has fallen, the price of meat has gone up!

Kathmandu. The consumption of chicken meat has decreased in various districts including Kathmandu. Consumption of chicken meat has dropped sharply after bird flu and were found in chickens. 

According to the Department of Livestock Services, birdflu infection has been detected in 11 districts including Kathmandu at present. According to the Division, the bird flu has been detected in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavrepalanchowk, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Mahottari, Bara, Chitwan and Nawalparasi. 

The Department has banned the sale and distribution of birds with infection after the infection of bird flu was found in chickens, ducks,quail s and quails.
