Scotland. The Deuda Group of the Far-West based in Scotland is to participate in the ‘Nepali Fair Scotland 2026’. The Deuda group of the Far-West is going to present the Deuda in the fair to be held in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland on July 16, 2019.
The fair is being organized by NRNA Scotland, NRNA UK and Nepali Embassy. The group aims to establish Deuda as a common cultural heritage of all Nepalis without limiting it to the far-western region.
According to the group, the festival will be organized in foreign land to introduce the unique art, culture and tradition of the Far-West in the international forum and also try to connect the Nepali and foreign communities around the world with Nepali culture. The main objective of the program is to spread the message that Deuda is not the common cultural heritage of any one province or community but of all Nepalis.
It is believed that the Deuda presentation would further strengthen the feelings of mutual unity, goodwill and inclusiveness among the Nepalis living at home and abroad. It is expected that this will contribute significantly to the preservation and promotion of Nepali art, culture and tradition by introducing the cultural identity of the Far-West to the world.
