First Microfinance’s net profit rises 73.64%

Kathmandu. The net profit of First Microfinance Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha has increased by 73 percent. According to the unrevised financial details of the fiscal year 2082÷83, the net profit of the microfinance company has increased by 73.64 percent compared to the previous fiscal year.

During the period, the company earned a net profit of Rs 19.07 crore. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 10.98 crore in the same quarter last year.

In the review period, the net interest income of the microfinance company increased from Rs 21.16 crore to Rs 22.74 crore. The operating profit of the microfinance company has also increased to Rs 27.27 crore from Rs 15.76 crore.

Similarly, the distributable profit of the microfinance company increased by 50.76 percent to Rs 13.61 crore by the end of the last FY. During the period, the company’s earnings per share (EPS) increased by Rs 3.41 to Rs 10.13 per share.

During this period, the NPA of microfinance companies decreased from 3.84 percent to 2.88 percent. Similarly, the cost of funds of microfinance has decreased from 6.22 percent to 4.75 percent in the review period.
