Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Balendra Shah-led government has made public a major achievement of its 100-day term today.

Government Spokesperson Sasmit Pokharel made public these achievements at a press conference held at Singha Durbar today.

The first point made public by Minister Pokharel has included the issue of reducing the number of federal ministries. Spokesperson Pokharel further shared that the number of ministries has been reduced to 18 as per the election manifesto of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP).

He said that with the reduction in the number of ministries, it is estimated that around Rs 20 billion will be saved in the state coffers annually. Similarly, he said that the remedial measures like scrapping the trade unions close to the political parties and dissolving the student unions and other reforms have sent a positive message.
