Govt to give Rs 105 million reward to international medal winners and coaches

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The government has decided to honour the Nepali medal winners in the International Games with prizes. The meeting also decided to honour the players, coach, assistant coach, physio and manager. 

According to the National Sports Development Regulations, 2079 (Second Amendment, 2082), a total of Rs 10,51,48,500 will be awarded to the medal winners. 

According to the Ministry of Education and Sports, cash prize is being awarded for the purpose of encouraging the players and sports teams. According to the ministry, has been awarded to players in the past, but this is the largest cash prize ever

This time, 101 people including medal winners, coaches, assistant coaches, managers and physios will be honored with cash prizes.
