Kathmandu. Kumari Bank Limited has signed an agreement with Minergy Initiatives for a strategic project to promote sustainable banking practices through service, process and strategic partnerships. The agreement was signed by Mr. Chandan Karki, Chief Investment & Marketing Manager of Kumari Bank and Mr. Shyam Sundar Shrestha, Chairman of Minergy Initiatives.
With a focus on environmental and green banking, the agreement establishes a broader scope of collaboration to make the community bankable and enhance the capacity of the bank as per the target community.
“Bridging the gap between international climate finance and targeted entrepreneurs requires a robust ecosystem that understands both the realities of the community and the patterns of banking risk,” said Arpan Poudel, head of the bank’s Sustainable Banking Department. “This partnership will make a significant contribution to transforming the capacity building efforts into true financial inclusion. ‘
Kumari Bank, one of the leading financial institutions in Nepal, through its strong network, will take this transformational initiative nationwide. The bank has been providing its services through its widest domestic network of 286 branches, 304 ATMs, 40 extension counters, 41 branchless banking units and 1233 POS terminals.
Furthermore, the partnership between Kumari Bank and Minergy Initiatives for its customer-centric innovation, transparent working style and good governance will add vital energy to the journey towards promoting green finance, sustainable economic growth and a cleaner and climate resilient future.
