Kathmandu. Most of the private petrol pumps in Kathmandu are closed. KATHMANDU: Most of the private petrol stations in Kathmandu Valley have remained closed after the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) slashed the price of petroleum products by Rs 20 per litre.
With the fall in prices, many private pumps have stopped selling due to losses from old stocks.
The corporation had fixed the new price of petroleum products with effect from Tuesday night.Due to the closure of the pumps, the people who had reached some places to fill fuel have been compelled to return.
Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has reduced the price of petrol by Rs 2 0 per litre and diesel and kerosene by Rs 20 per litre. Similarly, the corporation has slashed theprice of cooking LP gas by Rs 100 per cylinder. Look at the rest of the image:
