Kathmandu. The system of the Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) has been disrupted. The system, which was initially running well on Friday, suddenly broke down at the close of the market.
According to the circuit breaker system, the NEPSE index should not go up by more than 8 percent, but the market suddenly fell by 37 percent on Friday.
On Friday, the market fell 37 percent, or 1000.93 points, to 1717.79 points. Investors were also surprised when the market suddenly fell by 1,000 points.
After the market fell by 1,000 points in a day, the stock investors have questioned the system of Nepse. However, it is currently showing maintenance on the NEPSE website.
Meanwhile, investors have accused Nepse of deliberately spoiling the meter to raise money in the name of maintenance in the new fiscal year. Earlier, it was alleged that NEPSE employees were tampering with the system to collect money in the name of maintenance.
