Jhapa. The Cottage and Small Industries Office, Jhapa, has collected revenue of Rs 24.161 million in the last fiscal year 2082/83 through registration of new industries and service streams.

According to Janaki Bhattarai, information officer at the office, 586 new cottage and small industries were registered at the office in the last fiscal year. Among them, 302 are service-oriented industries.

Similarly, 147 production-oriented, 133 agro and forest-based industries, three information technology related and one energy-based industry have been registered.

Out of the total revenue collected by the office, Rs 198,14,050 was collected from administrative service fee, Rs 4,282,100 from business registration fee and Rs 65,000 from the sale of government properties, said Information Officer Bhattarai.
