Kathmandu. Sunday holidays will not be canceled. Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has said that Sunday holiday will not be scrapped.

After the government formed a committee to review the public holiday, there was talk of canceling the Sunday holiday.However, Pokharel, who is also the spokesperson of the government, said that the news of cancellation of Sunday holiday is not true. 

He said Sunday will remain a holiday.He said that the government has not thought of removing the Sunday holiday immediately as it is usually a two-day holiday even in international practice. 

The government had decided to give two holidays in a week from April 5 ( (Saturday and Sunday).
