Supreme Court orders immediate halt to property investigation

Kathmandu. The Supreme Court has ordered a halt to the investigation of the property. The Supreme Court has issued an interim order in the name of the Property Investigation Commission to stop the investigation into the assets of all public officials and retired for the time being.

Hearing a writ petition filed by advocate Maniram , a single bench of Justice Nripa Dhwaj Niraula ordered the commission to stop all the work of investigation into the property. 

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court (SC) had issued an interim order in the name of the Commission not to investigate the properties of former judges by Top Bahadur Singh, the chairman of the Forum of Judges.
