Kathmandu. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has granted amnesty to 111 Nepali prisoners. On the occasion of Eid2026, the UAE government granted amnesty to 111 prisoners.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has issued a press release thanking for granting amnesty to Nepali prisoners. 

Similarly, the Ministry has rated the amnestyas an expression of deep friendship and of the deep-} bilateral relations between Nepal and the UAE as an expression of the deep- cordiality. 

The Embassy of Nepal in Ab u Dhabi has said that preparations are being made to repatriate the Nepalis who have been granted amnesty after completing the necessary procedures as per the laws of the UAE.
