Kathmandu. Vietnam’s railway operator has slashed fares by 10 percent on the north- south train service due to a fall in fuel prices in the domestic market. According to the Vietnam News Agency, the exemption will be in effect from Wednesday to August 16.
This fare adjustment decision is expected to help reduce the travel cost of passengers and encourage them to use the train service.This discount of 10 percent will be available on all trains of North-South Express.
According to the seat classification, 110,000 Vietnamese dong (approx 4.36 US dollar) to 280,000 Vietnamese dong (approx 11.11 US dollar){{TAG_CLOSE_ The fare will be reduced by span_14}.
This scheme will apply to services from the major economic center of the south to the Minh station in the city of Sahi Gon Station to the Central Province Khan Hoako Nha Trang . In addition, this concession will also be provided in certain slipper compartments ofthe train connecting the capital Hanoi and the Central Province stations.
