Finance Minister urges IT entrepreneurs to increase investment without any fear, government is with them

Kathmandu. Finance Minister Dr. KATHMANDU: Swarnim Wagle has urged young entrepreneurs working in the information technology sector to increase investment in the country without any fear. During a discussion with young entrepreneurs working in the IT sector at the Finance Ministry, Minister Khatiwada said that the IT sector was in the special priority of the government.

Recalling that Nepal had invested a lot of time in the production and export of agricultural products in the past, he said that the information technology sector was an area where the profit could be achieved in less time even by investing.

Similarly, the government has given special priority to the information technology sector in this year’s budget, allocated budget for the development of AI and has adopted a policy of encouraging young entrepreneurs working in the IT sector.“Tell me what you mean. He also informed that the government is taking initiatives to bring the world-class information technology companies to Nepal.He said that the government is in the strategy to develop Nepal as a hub where the value chain of information technology willbe developed.

He urged the youth entrepreneurs to keep their problems open and move ahead by developing the sector by removing the shortcomings that come up while working.More than two dozen young entrepreneurs from the IT sector who participated in the discussion thanked the government for prioritizing the IT sector . They have stressed that the government should operate a one-stop service center, facilitate foreign exchange and remove legal complexities to make the service effective for the development of the information technology sector.
