Garima Bikas Bank shifts its central office to Baluwatar

Kathmandu. The central office of Garima Bikas Bank Limited has been shifted to Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3, Baluwatar. The central office of the bank has been established in the building owned by the bank’s own owner, Prof. Dr. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel inaugurated the event amidst a function.

The bank started its financial operations from Waling of Syangja on Kartik 1, 2064 BS and shifted its head office to Mahendrapul of Kaski on April 14, 2067 and after being upgraded to National Level Development Bank, its head office was shifted from Pokhara to Lazimpat, Kathmandu on April 13, 2016.

On the occasion of the inauguration of the newly constructed central office, religious worship was organized along with the consecration of Shiva Panchayan in the temple constructed in the office premises.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Prof. Dr. Bishwanath Poudel, Chairman of Securities Board of Nepal Gopal Prasad Bhatta, officials of Nepal Rastra Bank and other regulatory bodies, members of Board of Directors of Garima Development Bank, former office bearers of Development Bank, senior management officials, CEOs of various banks and financial institutions, shareholders of the Bank, employees and customers of the bank ।

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Madhav Prasad Upadhyay said that the journey started from Waling of Syangja in 2064 BS and reached Kathmandu in 2073 BS via Pokhara and with the establishment of the central office in the building owned by the Bank, the next chapter of the development bank has begun. He also emphasized that the bank’s hard work and contribution along with the hard work and contribution of employees along with the trust of millions of customers, thousands of shareholders, regulatory bodies, business partners and corporate governance are important for the bank’s successful business journey.

Similarly, in the concluding session of the inaugural ceremony, Dilip Pratap Khand, chairman of the development bank, expressed his commitment to provide more convenient, effective and quality banking services to the customers prioritizing institutional governance, technology, innovation and sustainable development.

Currently, Garima Bikas Bank has been providing services through a network of 126 branches, 51 ATMs and state-of-the-art banking services to one million customers.
