Kathmandu. The Birgunj-based sugar mill study task force formed by the government has carried out an onsite study of the sugar mill area. A task force led by Shrikanta Yadav of Senior Division of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies (Engineer (CDE) had inspected the mill at Pipara. 

On the occasion, Yadav said that the task force had studied the present condition of the physical infrastructure, machinery and spare parts including the factory building and the possibility of use.

The government had on August 1 5 formed a task force under the coordination of Yadav to study the feasibility of resumption of the factory, including section officer at the Ministry of Supplies Jyoti Poudel and Ministry’s advisor Shyam Sharma as members.

The task force will study the current situation of the factory within 15 days, prepare a feasibility and necessary action plan for reopening and submit a report to the government with suggestions of .
