. The government has appointed Parbat Kumar Karki as the Executive Director of Citizen Investment Trust (CIT). A meeting of the Council of Ministers on August 19 appointed Karki to the post as per Clause 42 (1) of the Citizens Investment Trust Act, 1990.
Karki, who retired from the post of Executive Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, was previously the Executive Director of the Fund.
He was selected to the post of Executive Director of the Fund on January 17, 2080 through open competition.
He has also worked as the CEO of Nepal Rural Development Bank and Kisan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited in addition to Nepal
Rastra Bank.
Karki holds a Master of Banking and Finance (MBF) from Griffith University, Australia and a Master’s Degree in Management from Tribhuvan University.
He has also received international training on central banking, financial stability and financial market analysis.
