Mahara arrested for cheating people of more than Rs 6 lakh on the pretext of sending them to Kuwait

Kathmandu. Police have arrested a man on the charge of cheating people of more than Rs 6 lakh on the pretext of sending them to Kuwait. Police have arrested Raj Kumar Mahara, 41, of Dhanusha and currently living in Sinamangal, Kathmandu.

He had cheated a person of Rs 6,14,250 on the pretext of sending him to Kuwait for foreign employment.

The victim had lodged a complaint alleging that he was out of contact with the victim for not sending him abroad for a long time. A police team deputed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested him on the basis of the complaint.

He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary action, police said.
