Kathmandu. Nepal Telecommunications Service Provider Ncell has decided to provide voice and data services for three days free in flood-affected areas of Rasuwa district this morning.

According to the company, 100 SMS with a validity of three days will also be provided free of cost to the general public of the affected areas.It is expected that the free communication service will help the affected people to stay in touch in a smooth manner at a time when it is difficult to contact the families, relatives and rescue teams due to the floods.

This arrangement has been made to facilitate the service in the affected areas as it is important to have continuous communication service in case of emergency.According to the company, flood-affected people will be able to share necessary information with their families and rescue teams.

Ncell has also been supporting the search, rescue and relief efforts during the times of disaster through communication services and other support . According to the company, the latest initiative is also aimed at ensuring emergency communication services in flood-affected areas.
