Petroleum products worth Rs 24.5 billion imported from Kakarbhitta in a year

Jhapa. In the last fiscal year, Nepal imported petroleum products worth Rs 24.50 billion. Three types of petroleum products—petrol, diesel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) were imported during the period.

According to the Kakarvitta Customs Office, petrol worth Rs 12.18 billion was imported, diesel worth Rs 9.55 billion and LPG worth Rs 2.77 billion.

In the fiscal year 2081÷82, petrol was imported worth Rs 8.92 billion and diesel worth Rs 7.03 billion.

According to Shivalal Neupane, chief of the office, Rs 5.85 billion was collected from petroleum products and Rs 2.93 billion from diesel in the last fiscal year.
