Provision of cooking gas at home for those in distress

Kathmandu. CHITWAN — The Chitwan district administration has urged the general public to inform the Office of Chief District Officer (CDO) if they are facing problems due to shortage of cooking gas.

Single women, elderly, disabled people, hostel students, gas industrialists have made arrangements to supply cooking gas to the houses of the needy people through sub-dealers. The arrangement was made after holding discussion with the District Administration Office, LPG industrialists and dealers on Monday.

Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal shared that arrangements have been made to supply cooking gas to the homes of the disabled people who have not got them. The administration has requested people to call the toll-free number if they do not get gas.

There are Baba, Saibaba and Nepal Gas Industry in the district. Chitwan is the market area of Janaki Gas. Operators of all the four industries have said that there will be no shortage of cooking gas as compared to before. Bimal Kalakheti, proprietor of Baba Gas, said there would be no shortage of cooking gas in the market as there was sufficient supply of cooking gas in the market.
