Security tightened at airport as PM Deuba returns home

Kathmandu. Security has been beefed up at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) ahead of Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba who is scheduled to return home from Kathmandu today.

Deuba, who left for Singapore in February last year for a health check-up, is scheduled to arrive in Kathmandu at 12:30 pm today.

The presence of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force and other security personnel has been increased in and around the arrival gate of the airport. Surveillance has also been tightened in the entry and movement of the arrival area.

Nepali Congress leaders and cadres are preparing to reach the airport to welcome Deuba. The security bodies have implemented a special security plan keeping in mind the possible crowd management and security sensitivities. See the rest of the image:
