Surkhet Traffic Police Collects Rs 13.3 Million Revenue From Vehicular Traffic Drives in One Year

Surkhet. The District Traffic Police Surkhet has collected Rs 13.3 million from vehicle action. The traffic police collected Rs 133,81,500 in revenue in the last fiscal year 2082/83.

Chief of District Traffic Office, Surkhet, Police Inspector Rohit Kumar Shahi said those violating traffic rules like drinking alcohol and speeding have been brought to book.

Similarly, Rs 5.70 lakh revenue has been collected by taking action against drivers who change the form of vehicles arbitrarily, he added. According to the police, 2,31,137 awareness programs have been conducted with them.

Similarly, 37 people lost their lives in 957 road accidents in Surkhet. Over-speeding is the leading cause of road accidents. Similarly, mechanical, pedestrian, road infrastructure, weather and livestock are included.
