UML to rise above old pattern, membership system to be made completely ‘digital’

Kathmandu. KATHMANDU: The Communist Party of Nepal (CPN-UML) has decided to make the party membership system completely digital. This information was shared at a workshop related to the membership organized by the party’s Capital Province Committee at the party headquarters Chyasal as part of the party’s ‘Mission Party Awakening’ campaign.

The action plan has been unveiled with the objective of establishing the party’s relations with the people and making the party organization dynamic up to the grassroots level.

Party Secretary Dr. Dr. Rajan Bhattarai said that the ‘digital’ system would be used to the fullest. “In particular, the party rank and file will be encouraged to forward the party’s details, organizational status, information, reports and public relations using digital medium,” he said. “, he said.

The party leadership has decided to conduct training programmes at ward and local levels to enhance political awareness and capacity of leaders and cadres. Party secretary Bhanubhakta Dhakal has insisted on the need of making the party membership digital so as to keep party membership and other documents safe from natural disasters and make its work efficient.
