Aakash Foods fined Rs 3 lakh for selling expired laddoos

Kathmandu. Action has been taken against Aakash Foods, which sells expired laddoos. Action has been taken against Aakash Foods,which is based in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.

During the emergency market monitoring carried out by the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control, it was found that Aakash Foods was selling stinking potatoes and expired laddoos.

According to an official involved in the inspection, 8 boxes of expired unexpired sugar laddoos were found in the shop, while the potatoes used in Pani Puri were found to be smelling unnaturally.

According to the official, the business has been directed to maintain food hygiene in the coming days as per the ‘Food Hygiene and Quality Act, 2081’.
