Kathmandu. Annapurna Spiker Kings, the champions of the first edition of Nepal Volleyball League, in collaboration with Extreme Energy Drink, celebrated their historic title and completed the ‘Champions of Nepal Volleyball League Trophy Tour’.

The Trophy Tour was organized in collaboration with Extreme Energy Drink with the objective of spreading the historic success of Nepali volleyball to the fans and sports lovers of different parts of the country.

Annapurna Spiker Kings completed the trophy tour by carrying the Champion Trophy along with the Annapurna Base Camp. Under the ‘Journey of Extreme Pride’ organized in collaboration with Extreme Energy Drink, the Champion Trophy was taken to various major cities and places of Gandaki Province.

Through this campaign, Extreme Energy Drink has tried to further promote the sports culture by connecting the enthusiasm, achievements and journey of the players with the fans of Nepali volleyball. Special programs and meetings were also organized at various places with the aim of connecting the Champion Trophy directly with the players, fans and the local community.

Nepal Volleyball League is the first professional men’s franchise volleyball league in Nepal. The first edition of the tournament was held from September 19 to 27, 2083 at the covered hall of the National Sports Council in Tripureshwor, Kathmandu. A total of six franchise teams including Annapurna Spiker Kings, Kathmandu Reds, Karnali Shivaraj, Khaptad Falcons, Madhesh Warriors and Sagarmatha Squadron competed in the tournament.

In the historic final, Annapurna Spiker Kings defeated Karnali Shivaraj in straight sets of 3-0 to become the champions of the first edition of the Nepal Volleyball League. Annapurna won the final by 25-15, 25-20, 25-18.

Along with the first NVL title, Annapurna also received a cash prize of Rs 20 lakh.
