Kathmandu. Banks and financial Shares and Shares and {{} Debentures will be held for a minimum of 45 days. The Nepal Rastra Bank has made this provision by amending the Integrated Directive Issued for ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ class banks and financial institutions, 2082.
According to the new provision, shares of organized institutions and debentures and financial will have to holdfor at least 45 days.
Prior to this, banks and financial institutions were required to hold for at least 6 months shares and debentures. Similarly, short-term investment in shares of and de bentures has been retained.
Similarly, the countercyclical buffer has been fixed at zero percent for the financial year 2083/84. and financial institutions Government securities, nation bank Bonds, shares and debentures and have clear policies and procedures to reduce speculative risk. The bank has made a provision for the implementation of the country only after getting it approved by the committee.
Similarly, the investment policy should include clear methods for the purpose and strategy of investment, classification in banking and trading book, holding period and conflict of interest.
