KATHMANDU: The government has decided to table the bill designed to amend and integrate the laws related to the federal civil service in the Federal Parliament. The meeting of the Council of Ministers held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Singha Durbar, decided to table the Federal Civil Service Bill in the Parliament, according to Government Spokesperson and Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel.

The meeting also decided to accept the US government grant assistance worth 20.7 million US dollars for health service reforms.

The government has also given approval for the construction of Kamala-Dhalkebar-Pathlaiya road section along the East-West Highway, Gazard Khola Small Hydropower Project and 40-MW Balefhi Khola Hydropower Project.

Approval has also been given to use the national forest area for the construction of the Armed Police Force, training schools of Nepal, battalions and border security posts. The meeting also approved the submission of the bills to amend the Livestock Slaughterhouse and Meat Inspection Act, 2055 and the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2074 in the Federal Parliament.

The cabinet has also promoted and posted two high officials in the administration side. The cabinet has also decided to promote joint secretary Abha Shrestha Karna to the post of chief secretary of Gandaki Province. The cabinet has decided to promote Dr Jagadishwor Karmacharya of Nepal Engineering Service to the post of secretary of the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation.
