Kathmandu. The Department of Immigration has made arrangements to get the details of foreign trips through the citizen app. Issuing a press release on Friday, the Department said that with the objective of making the department’s services more secure, systematic and technology-friendly, the international arrival and departure details (travel details) can be obtained through the citizen app.
According to the press release, with the implementation of this provision, the compulsion of the service seekers to be physically present at the department or submit a physical application to get the travel details has ended.
According to the department, the personal details of the concerned person will be completely safe as the passport details of the concerned person will be displayed in the app.
Director and Spokesperson of the Department, Tikaram Dhakal, said that the new technology will save both time and cost of the service seekers as there were procedural hassles while applying physically, not getting the details on time and increasing the workload of the department. According to him, various individuals and organizations can use this information obtained from the citizen app as an official source.
