Kathmandu. Today (Tuesday) is being observed as ‘Jenji’ Martyrs’ Day. The Jenji movement of September 23 had caused political upheaval. The then government was dissolved through the movement and an election government was formed under the leadership of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki.
The government has also declared a public holiday today in memory and honor of the youths who lost their lives during the agitation. The cabinet meeting held on September 18 had decided to declare a public holiday throughout the country today.
