Jail inmates provide support to flood-affected people

Kathmandu. The inmates of Chitwan jail have helped the flood-affected people of Bhotekoshi. The inmates have donated financial materials to the affected families by collecting money and donating labor.

They handed over the materials to Chief District Officer Ganesh Aryal inside the prison premises on Monday. They provided mattresses, blankets, bed sheets, pillow covers, towels, pickles, soaps, toothbrushes, toothbrushes and 125 sets each.

The inmates donated Rs 100 to Rs 2,000 in cash and labour. Items worth Rs 3,67,036 were purchased and mattresses and pillows were made in the jail premises.

Chief District Officer Aryal said that the help provided by the prisoners is exemplary and exemplary. At present, there are 750 inmates in the jail. Of them, 708 are men and 42 are women.
