On August 28, the road was disrupted after the Prithvi Highway was eroded by the flood of the Trishuli River in the Krishnabhir area. Industrialists had been bringing gas from plantsin Makwanpur, Parsa, Bara, Chitwan, Nawalparasi and Dhanusha through trucks through alternative routes to ease the supply of gas in the valley due to the obstruction of the road.
