Kathmandu. Police have arrested an Indian national with 422.5 grams of what looked like gold from Tribhuvan International Airport.

The arrested person has been identified as Aslam Shaukat (46), a resident of Delhi, India, according to Superintendent of Police (SP) Raj Kumar Silwal, spokesperson of the Airport Security Office. The arrested Shaukat came to Kathmandu from Mumbai on an IndiGo flight of IndiGo Air.

According to the police, the substance was found hidden in his underwear wrapped in plastic after he was found walking unnaturally last night.

Spokesperson Silwal further informed that the arrestees have been sent to Police Circle, Gaushala for further investigation.
