Kathmandu. A man has been arrested for cheating money on the pretext of sending it to Japan. A person has been arrested for cheating people of Rs 9 lakh on the pretext of sending them to Japan for foreign employment.

The arrested is 45-year-old Kharwa Tamang from Lamjung who has been living in Kathmandu.

The victim had filed a complaint saying that he was out of contact without sending the money abroad. Based on the complaint, a police team deputed from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office arrested Tamang.

He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation and necessary actions, police said.
