Kathmandu. Ncell has announced a partnership with the Nepal Association of Travel Operators (NATO). Its main objective is to make it easy and easy for international tourists visiting Nepal to access telecommunication services.

In an event held at Nepal Tourism Board on Thursday, Ncell’s Chief Consumer Business Officer Upang Dutta and NATO President Bishwesh Shrestha signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to this effect.

This collaboration aims to make it easier for tourists visiting Nepal from different countries to stay in touch with family members and friends in their respective countries throughout their journey. It addresses the critical need of communication while traveling to different parts of Nepal.

Under the partnership, Ncell will provide tourists with reliable mobile connectivity and NATO will provide tourists with information about Ncell’s services and facilities through its network of travel operators across the nation.

Addressing the event, Mr. Dutta said, “By leveraging Ncell’s extensive network across the country and NATO’s diverse reach in the tourism sector, we are confident that this partnership will make travel experiences memorable for tourists visiting Nepal.” Not only this, but this partnership will also play an important role in promoting the ‘Nepal Kaling’ campaign and establishing Nepal as a major tourist destination.” ‘

We are excited about this meaningful collaboration with Ncell that will help every traveler coming to Nepal stay connected with everyone throughout their journey,” said NATO President Shrestha.

Apart from telecommunications, Ncell will also support NATO to install modern WASH (safe drinking water, sanitation and hygiene) infrastructure along major highways through Ncell Foundation as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR). It will start as a pilot project from Gajuri in Dhading district.

This initiative addresses the growing need for convenience of all including tourists and local communities traveling these routes and also demonstrates the shared commitment of both organizations towards sustainable and responsible tourism development in Nepal.
