Nvidia CEO donates Rs 1.5 billion to disaster fund

. The American technology company Nvidia Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jensen Huang has contributed more than one and a half billion rupees to the ‘Prime Minister Natural Disaster Relief Fund. He has donated $10 million (about and more than $1.5 billion for the rescue, relief and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people.

Finance Minister Dr. Swarnim Wagle confirmed the support made by Huang through a video message.

Confirming the assistance, the Finance Minister expressed gratitude to Huang on behalf of the Government of Nepal for the assistance. This assistance is considered to be the largest support received from a multinational company or individual.

Similarly, Finance Minister Wagle has informed that more than Rs 10 billion has been collected in the ‘Prime Minister’s Natural Disaster Relief Fund so far. This amount will be spent on relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction of people affected by the floods in Bhotekoshi.
