Kathmandu. The fee for the certification of the police character certificate of Nepalese going to the UAE (Police Report) will be reduced. The fee being paid by Nepali workers for police report verification will be reduced by 50 percent.

The agreement was reached during a meeting with the UAE Ambassador and the UAE Ambassador to Nepal including Dick Bahadur Kha tri, President of Nepal Association of Foreign Employment Entrepreneurs .

With this, from October 2026, Nepali workers going to the UAE will be given a 50% discount on the police report verification fee. Similarly, the NR NA has said that the process of report verification will be completed within three working days.

Currently, Nepali workers going to the UAE are paying 353 dirhams (14 thousand thousand for police report verification. The Association had demanded to remove the report verification process but agreed to reduce the fee instead of removing the report verification process citing security challenges.
