Kathmandu. Rara noodles have been certified as sub-standard. The Department of Food Technology and Quality Control has ordered the immediate recall of the prepared noodles of Rara brand from the market after it was proved to be substandard.

According to the Department, the food items were found to be sub-standard as per the food hygiene and quality standard when the samples collected in course of market monitoring and inspection were tested in the laboratory.

According to the department, 60 grams of ‘ready-made noodles’, batch no. REG 01, RARA brand products have been recalled.

The product is produced by Himshree Foods Pvt. Ltd., Pokhara. According to the relevant provisions of the Food Hygiene and Quality Act, 2081, the department has ordered the manufacturers to immediately return the food items from the market and not sell or distribute the food items.

Some time ago, Rampum noodles were also proved to be of poor quality. After some time of the rumpum being proved to be substandard, Rara noodles have also been proved to be of poor quality.
